This work celebrates the vast open desert and the journey of those who traverse it’s terrain.

It includes a softly layered background of sunbaked desert hues—rusted reds, ochres, and pale sands blending seamlessly through encaustic wax. At the heart of the composition, a central vertical line of rusted metal fragments is intersected by a horizontal row, forming a quiet, powerful cross-like structure.

The horseshoe-shaped piece at the top suggests a symbol or directional cue, inviting contemplation about arrival, departure, or transformation.
